Who we are
VT Info is an independent Australian market-comparison publication that covers the offshore online casino sector as it affects Australian residents. We started in April 2019 and have published continuously since. The editorial focus has always been analytical rather than promotional. We compare regulatory jurisdictions, payment rails, licensing regimes and market structures, and we work from primary sources - federal legislation, published regulator registers, operator terms and conditions - rather than press-release copy.
Our name is short and deliberately neutral. It does not describe a category, market a product or reference the domain's earlier ownership. VT is simply a compact identifier that lets the analysis carry the brand rather than the other way around. Our readership is Australian, our examples are Australian, and our spelling and idiom follow Australian conventions throughout.
Our editorial approach
We publish comparative reference material rather than reviews. That distinction matters. A review recommends specific operators; a comparison sets out the terrain and lets the reader form their own conclusions. Our pages do not carry affiliate links, brand ranking tables or partner disclosures because we do not sell placement. The commercial cost of that decision is real; the editorial benefit is that our analysis is not shaped by which operator has paid to appear.
Every piece we publish follows a similar structural discipline. We compare like against like. We source facts from primary references. We flag uncertainties honestly. We revisit and update pieces when the underlying regulation, jurisdictional practice or payment landscape changes. Where a comparison has moved because a licence has been reformed, a rail has been discontinued or a tax rule has changed, the affected pieces are updated and the update date is clearly displayed.
Our editor
The masthead is Emma Whitfield, Market Editor. Emma has covered the Australian online-services sector since 2019 with a focus on comparative regulatory analysis. Her background is in policy writing rather than commercial gambling journalism, and her preference is for structured side-by-side breakdowns over marketing claims. Every money page on this site carries Emma's byline and reflects her editorial voice: analytical, sober, allergic to promotional framing.
Emma works out of our Sydney editorial office and reports to no operator, marketing agency or affiliate group. Any commercial disclosures that become relevant to a piece would be published transparently at the top of the piece; there are none to disclose at the time of publication.
Honest disclosure on AI-assisted drafting
We use AI tools to help with drafting, editing and consistency across a large body of published material. Every article on this site goes through human editorial review before publication and is reviewed periodically after publication for accuracy and freshness. We disclose this because the industry as a whole is not yet consistent on AI-use disclosure and we would rather set the standard ourselves than have it inferred from silence. AI-assistance is a productivity tool; it is not a substitute for editorial judgement, and the responsibility for every claim on the site sits with the named editorial byline.
What we do not do
We do not recommend specific operators, brands or products. We do not run affiliate links or paid placement. We do not describe methods of evading legal or technical controls. We do not accept sponsored content from operators, payment providers or affiliate groups. We do not offer legal, financial or tax advice; where a reader's situation calls for those, we point them at licensed professional sources.
Corrections policy
We keep a running log of substantive corrections. If a factual claim in one of our comparisons is out of date or wrong, we would rather hear about it and fix it than leave it in place. Corrections are made in the piece itself with a dated note beneath the affected paragraph or in a corrections section at the bottom of the piece for more substantial changes. Silent revisions are avoided; the aim is that the correction history is legible to any reader who wants to verify how a piece has evolved. Editorial judgement calls about interpretation are separate from factual corrections and are handled through commentary rather than in-place edits.
Getting in touch
Editorial correspondence, factual corrections and press queries are welcome. See the contact page for details. We aim to respond to legitimate corrections within a working day and to substantive editorial queries within a working week. Correspondence relating to operator brands or paid placement is politely declined; we do not accept that class of enquiry.
